Are you an amateur astrophotographer? If so, you have the opportunity to share your work for our “Western Starlight” Astrophotography exhibition that will be on display for the duration of the festival at Newport National School.

The exhibit is intended to showcase the work of skilled Irish astronomy hobbyists  such as those who belong to amateur astronomy or photography clubs.  Photos obtained at your private observatory, or using a remote observatory rented using your own funds, are welcome. We aim to feature celestial scenes that are sharply focused, properly exposed, sensibly composed. compelling, interesting, beautiful to look at, and/or offer unusual perspectives on astronomical objects or phenomena.
